The work of the High Council on Statistics focuses on making recommendations within its remit: national statistical planning and statistics for state purposes.
Its main functions are:
- Proposals and recommendations prior to the National Statistical Plan
- Mandatory opinions on:
- The National Statistical Plan (PEN)
- The annualannual development programmes
- Drafts of all statistical operations for state purposes
Another of the Council’s functions is to draw up an Annual Activity Report on its activities, which sets out the actions taken by the Plenary, the Standing Commission and the Working Groups operating under its aegis.
